The DS Series is BC Racing's choice for those who use their car on the track without giving up the ability to drive it on the road. It shares its construction with the BR, but features a digressive valve, which stiffens the response during slow damper movements (braking, cornering, acceleration) and softens it during fast ones, allowing the wheel to lift quickly when hitting a curb. Satin chrome body and 30 adjustment positions.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW X5 E53 xDrive (99-06). It comes in an integrated rear configuration: at the rear, the spring and shock absorber form a single unit instead of being separate as in the standard equipment, which allows the rear ride height to be adjusted directly on the shock absorber. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Supplied with a single spring rate: 6/9 kg/mm.
Before you buy
Before installation, the chassis must be reinforced in the area of the rear mounts. The integrated assembly introduces loads that the original setup distributed differently, and BC Racing makes the validity of the kit conditional on this work being completed. This is a job for a specialized workshop and should be included in your budget.
