The DS Series is based on the same platform as the BR but swaps the valve for a digressive one, which gears it towards track use. It features 30-click adjustment that affects both compression and rebound simultaneously, and the shock body comes in a satin chrome finish. A digressive valve does not provide the same damping at all speeds: when the shaft moves slowly, such as during braking or cornering, it offers high resistance and keeps the body flat; when the movement is fast, such as when hitting a curb, it opens up and allows the wheel to rise without transmitting the full impact.
