Description

The DS Series is based on the same foundation as the BR, but swaps the valve for a digressive one, which leans it more toward track use. It is adjusted with 30 clicks that affect both compression and rebound simultaneously, and the shock body comes in a satin chrome finish. A digressive valve does not provide the same damping at all speeds: when the rod moves slowly, such as during braking or cornering, it offers high resistance to keep the body flat; when movement is fast, such as when hitting a curb, it opens up and allows the wheel to rise without transmitting the full impact.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Honda CIVIC CR-X EF9/ED (88-91) (rear eyelet). Weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number A-17-DS-DH.

Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate, 9/4 kg/mm.
