What the ER Series provides is the ability to treat the two phases of damping separately. Compression is adjustable through 30 clicks from the external reservoir and rebound through another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives under braking, which is where the grip for corner entry comes from, and rebound controls how quickly the suspension returns to its position. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

The front features adjustable camber plates, camber and caster plates, or pillowball mounts depending on the application, and the rear features pillowball mounts. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Supplied with a single spring rate: 14/10 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The front pillowball mounts are rigid anchor points with no elastic element, and on some chassis, they transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
