The ER Series adds an external reservoir and, most importantly, separates compression and rebound adjustment. It maintains the construction of the BR and DS series, featuring a monotube damper and digressive piston, while adding 30 clicks of compression adjustment from the reservoir and another 30 for rebound from the top of the damper. This independence is especially beneficial when entering a corner: compression determines how the front end loads under braking, and rebound determines the rate at which it recovers when releasing the pedal.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW M2 F87 (16-18). It uses an integrated rear configuration: the spring and damper form a single assembly in the rear instead of being separate as in the original equipment, which allows for rear ride height adjustment directly on the damper. It weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-143-ER.
The front axle allows for camber adjustment. The ride height is adjusted independently of the spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
There are 2 stiffness combinations available. The one BC Racing defines as standard for this car is 6/6 kg/mm.
Before you buy
Before installation, the chassis must be reinforced in the area of the rear mounts. The integrated assembly introduces loads that the original setup distributed differently, and BC Racing makes the validity of the kit conditional on this work being performed. This is a task for a specialized workshop and should be included in the estimate.
