What the ER Series provides is the ability to adjust the two damping phases separately. Compression is adjusted via 30 clicks on the external reservoir, and rebound via another 30 clicks on top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives when braking, which is where grip comes from when entering a corner, and rebound controls how quickly the suspension returns to its position. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

It is fitted with at the front and at the rear. The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, something not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the lower conical collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
