What the ER Series provides is the ability to adjust the two damping phases separately. Compression is adjusted in 30 clicks from the external reservoir, and rebound in another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives when braking—which is where the grip comes from to enter a turn with support—and rebound controls how quickly the suspension rises back up. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

The front features adjustable camber plates, camber and caster plates, or pillowball mounts depending on the application, while the rear features pillowball mounts. The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, which is not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The front pillowball top mounts are a rigid anchor without an elastic element, and in some chassis, they transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
