What the ER Series provides is the ability to treat the two phases of damping separately. Compression is adjusted in 30 clicks from the external reservoir and rebound in another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives when braking, which is where the grip for corner entry comes from, and rebound controls how quickly the suspension extends back up. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

The front axle allows for camber adjustment. The ride height is adjusted independently of the spring preload, and the conical lower collar prevents the setting from moving with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
