What the ER Series provides is the ability to adjust the two damping phases separately. Compression is adjusted via 30 clicks from the external reservoir, and rebound via another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives under braking, which is where the grip for corner entry comes from, while rebound controls how quickly the suspension returns to its original position. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
