The ER Series adds an external reservoir and, above all, separates the compression and rebound adjustment. It maintains the construction of the BR and DS series, with a monotube shock absorber and digressive piston, and adds 30 compression clicks adjustable from the reservoir plus another 30 for rebound from the top of the shock absorber. This independence is especially useful when entering a corner: compression determines how the front end is loaded under braking, and rebound determines the rate at which it recovers when releasing the pedal.

Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
