What the ER Series provides is the ability to adjust the two damping phases separately. Compression is adjustable in 30 clicks from the external reservoir, and rebound in another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives under braking, which is where the grip for corner entry comes from, while rebound controls how quickly the suspension extends back up. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.

The front axle supports camber and caster adjustment, something not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
