What the ER Series provides is the ability to treat the two phases of damping separately. Compression is adjusted in 30 clicks from the external reservoir and rebound in another 30 from the top of the shock absorber. In practice, compression controls how much the nose dives when braking, which is where the grip for corner entry comes from, and rebound controls how quickly the suspension extends back up. If the front end unloads too quickly, the car understeers.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the Honda CIVIC FL5 (23+) (TYPE-R). It uses an integrated rear configuration: the spring and shock absorber form a single unit instead of being separate as in the stock equipment, which allows the rear ride height to be adjusted directly on the shock absorber. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
Before installation, the chassis must be reinforced in the area of the rear mounts. The integrated assembly introduces loads that the original setup distributed differently, and BC Racing makes the validity of the kit conditional on this work being done. This is a task for a specialized workshop and should be included in the estimate.
