The ER Series adds an external reservoir and, above all, separates compression and rebound adjustment. It maintains the construction of the BR and DS series, with a monotube shock absorber and digressive piston, and adds 30 clicks of compression adjustable from the reservoir plus another 30 of rebound from the top of the shock absorber. This independence is especially useful when entering a corner: compression determines how the front end is loaded when braking, and rebound determines the rate at which it recovers when releasing the pedal.
Complete kit for the four wheels of the BMW 3 Series E90/E92 RWD (06-11). It features an integrated rear configuration: at the rear, the spring and shock absorber form a single assembly instead of being separate as in the stock equipment, which allows the rear ride height to be adjusted directly on the shock absorber. It weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer reference I-117-ER.
It features at the front and at the rear. The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, something not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the lower conical locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
There are 2 stiffness combinations available. The one BC Racing defines as standard for this car is 6/6 kg/mm.
Before buying
Before installation, the chassis must be reinforced in the area of the rear mounts. The integrated assembly introduces loads that the original setup distributed differently, and BC Racing makes the validity of the kit conditional on this work being done. This is a job for a specialized workshop and should be included in the estimate.
