The HM Series combines in a single kit what BC Racing distributes across two other series: the inverted monotube shock absorber from the RM and the independent compression and rebound adjustment of the ER. Compression is adjustable in 30 clicks via the external reservoirs, and rebound is adjustable in another 30 clicks from the bottom of the shock. It comes standard with Swift springs. The reservoirs increase oil capacity, improve heat dissipation, and house the second piston of the linear dual-piston design.

Front mounts and rear mounts . The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, a feature not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. This must be cleaned and replenished periodically to prevent noise; it is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series at the track and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
