The HM Series combines in a single kit what BC Racing distributes across two other series: the inverted monotube shock absorber from the RM and the independent compression and rebound adjustment of the ER. Compression is regulated in 30 clicks from the external reservoirs and rebound in another 30 from the bottom of the shock absorber. It comes standard with Swift springs. The reservoirs increase oil capacity, improve heat dissipation, and house the second piston of the linear dual-piston design.

It is equipped with in the front and in the rear. The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, a feature not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before buying
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and between both parts is a grease that prevents metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and replenished periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing directs this series toward track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
In the HM version, the upper strut bar must be removed from the engine bay.
