The HM Series combines in a single kit what BC Racing distributes across two other series: the inverted monotube shock absorber from the RM and the independent compression and rebound adjustment of the ER. Compression is regulated in 30 clicks from the external reservoirs, and rebound in another 30 from the bottom of the shock absorber. It comes standard with Swift springs. The reservoirs increase oil capacity, improve thermal dissipation, and house the second piston of the linear dual-piston design.

The front axle supports camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers for seal protection and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before buying
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and between both parts is a grease that prevents metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and replenished periodically to avoid noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing directs this series toward track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
