The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir at the top, secured to the body. This layout reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to better track the asphalt and stop bouncing on broken pavement. It also moves the oil away from brake heat, which can travel through the hub during intense use and soften the damping. The 42 mm piston rod increases resistance to lateral loads and keeps steering geometry stable.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a pillowball top mount adjustable for camber, while the rear uses rubber or standard top mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and grease is applied between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
The front pillowball top mounts are a rigid anchor with no elastic element, and in some vehicles, they may transmit slight knocking into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
