Inverting the shock absorber is what sets the RM Series apart. By anchoring the oil and gas reservoir to the body instead of the hub, unsprung mass is reduced: the wheel responds faster to every imperfection and maintains better contact with the ground. This same positioning protects the oil from the heat generated by the brakes, so the damping performance remains as consistent on the last lap as it is on the first. It features a 42mm piston rod, which is more resistant to lateral loads.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball mount, and the rear includes rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, a feature not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
There are 6 spring rate combinations available, including Offset configurations. The one BC Racing defines as default for this car is 6/9 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and grease is applied between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing gears this series towards the track and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
The front pillowball mounts are rigid anchor points without elastic elements, and on some chassis, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover this under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
The offset mount is not available for HM or ZR versions.
