BC Racing RM Series BMW 3 Series E93 M3 (08-13) (W/ EDC)
€1.559,69
The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir mounted at the top and secured to the body. This layout reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to better track the asphalt and reducing bouncing on rough surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which can travel through the hub during intense use and soften the damping. The 42 mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains stable steering geometry.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW 3 Series E93 M3 (08-13) (W/ Edc). Weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer reference I-153-RM-MA.
The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball top mount, and the rear features rubber top mounts or no top mount, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Supplied with a single spring rate, 6/10 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between the two parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; this is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or re-pressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series at track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
Front pillowball top mounts are a rigid attachment, without an elastic element, and on some chassis, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty or accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
