Ver descripción y características

The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir at the top, mounted to the chassis. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the pavement better and preventing bouncing on broken surfaces. It also moves the oil away from the heat of the brakes, which, under intense use, travels through the hub and can soften the damping. The 42mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains steering geometry stability.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW 3 Series F31 RWD/xDrive (12-19) (3-bolt front mount). Weight: 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-114-RM-MA.

The front features an inverted shock with an adjustable pillowball camber plate, and the rear includes either rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate: 1 2/14 kg/mm.

Before you buy

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX series for daily-driven cars.

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and on some chassis, they may transmit a slight tapping sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect; BC Racing does not cover this under warranty, nor does it accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
