The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir mounted at the top and fixed to the chassis. This configuration reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to better track the asphalt and stop bouncing on rough surfaces. It also distances the oil from the heat of the brakes, which can rise through the hub during intense use and soften the damping. The 42mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and keeps the steering geometry stable.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball upper mount, and the rear features rubber mounts or no mount, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
The front pillowball upper mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and in some vehicles, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber upper mounts avoid this effect.
