The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir at the top, secured to the bodywork. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the asphalt better and stop bouncing on broken pavement. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which under intense use rises through the hub and can soften the damping. The 42 mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and keeps steering geometry stable.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball top mount, and the rear uses rubber top mounts or none at all, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment . Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and a grease is applied between both parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX series for daily-driven cars.
Front pillowball top mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and in some body styles, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty or accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
