The inverted shock absorber is what sets the RM Series apart. By anchoring the oil and gas reservoir to the body instead of the hub, unsprung mass is reduced: the wheel responds more quickly to every irregularity and maintains better contact with the ground. This same position protects the oil from the heat generated by the brakes, ensuring the damping performance remains as consistent on the last lap as it is on the first. It features a 42 mm shaft, which is more resistant to lateral stresses.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball top mount, while the rear uses rubber top mounts or no top mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and a conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
Front pillowball top mounts are a rigid attachment without elastic elements, and on some chassis, they may transmit slight knocking sounds into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
