BC Racing RM Series Dodge CALIBER SRT FWD (06-12)
€1.499,19
The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir mounted at the top and secured to the chassis. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the asphalt better and preventing bouncing on broken surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which can travel through the hub during intense use and cause the damping to soften. The 42 mm shaft adds resistance to lateral loads and keeps the steering geometry stable.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the Dodge CALIBER SRT FWD (06-12). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference Z-02-RM-MA.
The front features an inverted shock absorber with a pillowball mount adjustable for camber, and the rear uses rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Supplied with a single spring rate, 8/6 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
The front pillowball mounts are rigid anchors, without elastic elements, and in some vehicles, they transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
