The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber with the oil and gas reservoir at the top, fixed to the chassis. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the asphalt better and reducing bouncing on broken surfaces. It also distances the oil from the heat of the brakes, which can travel up through the hub during intense use and soften the damping. The 42 mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains steering geometry stability.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with an adjustable pillowball camber plate, and the rear includes rubber top mounts or no top mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical lower locking collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.
Front pillowball top mounts are a rigid mount without elastic elements, and in some vehicles, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover this under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber top mounts avoid this effect.
