Ver descripción y características

The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir mounted at the top and secured to the chassis. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the asphalt better and preventing bouncing on broken surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from the heat of the brakes, which can travel up through the hub during intense use and cause the damping to soften. The 42 mm shaft adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains stable steering geometry.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Ford LASER KF/KH FWD (89-95). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer part number E-19-RM-MH.

The front features an inverted shock with an adjustable camber pillowball mount, and the rear features an inverted shock with a pillowball mount. The front axle supports camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered lower collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate: 6/4 kg/mm.

Before you buy

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and there is grease between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for daily-driven cars.

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and in some vehicles, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty or accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
