BC Racing RM Series Ford MUSTANG SN95 (94-04)
€1.499,19
Inverting the shock absorber is what sets the RM Series apart. With the oil and gas reservoir anchored to the body instead of the hub, unsprung mass is reduced: the wheel responds faster to every irregularity and maintains better contact with the ground. That same position protects the oil from the heat generated by the brakes, so the damping holds up just as well on the last lap as it does on the first. It features a 42 mm shaft, which is more resistant to lateral stress.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the Ford MUSTANG SN95 (94-04). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference E-10-RM-MA.
The front features an inverted shock absorber with a pillowball mount adjustable for camber, and the rear features rubber mounts or no mount, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
There are 2 stiffness combinations available. The one BC Racing defines as default for this car is 8/5 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and between the two parts is a grease that prevents metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to prevent noise; it is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
The front pillowball mounts are a rigid anchor, without any elastic element, and on some chassis, they transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
