BC Racing RM Series Ford MUSTANG SN95 COBRA (03-04)
€1.499,19
The inverted shock absorber is what sets the RM Series apart. With the oil and gas reservoir anchored to the body rather than the hub, unsprung mass is reduced: the wheel responds faster to every bump and maintains better contact with the ground. This same position protects the oil from the heat generated by the brakes, so the damping remains as consistent on the last lap as it is on the first. It features a 42 mm shaft, which is more resistant to lateral loads.
Complete kit for all four wheels of the Ford MUSTANG SN95 COBRA (03-04). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference E-11-RM-MA.
The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball mount, and the rear features rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Supplied with a single spring rate, 7/8.5 kg/mm.
Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and replenished periodically to prevent noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series at the track and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
The front pillowball mounts are a rigid anchor, without an elastic element, and on some car bodies, they transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty or accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
