Ver descripción y características

Inverting the shock absorber is what sets the RM Series apart. With the oil and gas reservoir anchored to the body rather than the hub, unsprung mass is reduced: the wheel responds faster to every irregularity and maintains better contact with the ground. That same position protects the oil from the heat generated by the brakes, so the damping performance remains as consistent on the last lap as it is on the first. It features a 42 mm piston rod, which is more resistant to lateral stress.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Ford TAURUS AWD (13-19) (INC SHO). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference E-30-RM-MA.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball mount, while the rear uses rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate of 6/8 kg/mm.

Before you buy

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed within a threaded body, and grease is applied between both parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX series for a daily-driven car.

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid anchor, without an elastic element, and in some vehicle bodies, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
