Ver descripción y características

The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir at the top, mounted to the vehicle body. This configuration reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to track the asphalt better and preventing bouncing on broken surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which during intense use rises through the hub and can soften the damping. The 42 mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains steering geometry stability.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Honda CIVIC EP3 (01-05) (TYPE-R). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference A-16-RM-MA.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with a camber-adjustable pillowball mount, and the rear includes rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the setting from shifting during use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

There are 4 spring rate combinations available. The one BC Racing defines as standard for this car is 6/9 kg/mm.

Before you buy

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between both parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or re-pressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid attachment, without elastic elements, and in some vehicles, they transmit a slight knocking sound to the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
