Ver descripción y características

The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir at the top and fixed to the body. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to better track the asphalt and stop bouncing on rough surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which under intense use travels through the hub and can soften the damping. The 42mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and keeps steering geometry stable.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Honda CIVIC SI FB6/FG4 14-15 (USA ONLY). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference A-97-RM-MA.

The front features an inverted shock with an adjustable pillowball camber plate, and the rear includes rubber mounts or no mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate: 6/8 kg/mm.

Before purchasing

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease applied between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. This must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; it is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock. For this reason, BC Racing positions this series for track use and recommends the BR, DS, ER, or ZX series for daily-driven cars.

The front pillowball mounts are a rigid anchor with no elastic element, and on some car bodies, they may transmit a slight tapping sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty nor accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber mounts avoid this effect.
