Ver descripción y características

The RM Series features an inverted monotube shock absorber, with the oil and gas reservoir mounted at the top and secured to the chassis. This arrangement reduces unsprung weight, allowing the tire to better track the asphalt and stop bouncing on rough surfaces. It also keeps the oil away from brake heat, which under intense use rises through the hub and ends up softening the damping. The 42 mm piston rod adds resistance to lateral loads and maintains steering geometry stability.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the Hyundai ELANTRA SPORT (17-20). Weighs 23 kg. Manufacturer reference M-28-RM-MA.

The front features an inverted shock absorber with adjustable camber pillowball upper mounts, and the rear uses rubber upper mounts or no upper mounts, depending on the application. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom locking collar prevents the adjustment from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate, 6/5 kg/mm.

Before buying

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and between these two parts is grease that prevents metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and replenished periodically to avoid noise; this is a simple maintenance task that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing targets this series for track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.

The front pillowball upper mounts are a rigid connection without elastic elements, and on some chassis, they may transmit a slight knocking sound into the cabin. This does not indicate a defect, and BC Racing does not cover it under warranty or accept returns for this reason. Configurations with rubber upper mounts avoid this effect.
