With the ZR Series, weight transfers and sharp road impacts can be handled separately. Low-speed compression governs how the body settles under braking, cornering, and acceleration; high-speed compression handles curbing and bumps; and rebound, adjustable separately, manages the wheel's return after each compression. There are 20, 12, and 30 clicks respectively, featuring a digressive piston and a double-piston design.

The front axle allows for camber and caster adjustment, a feature not available in all applications. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the tapered bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust covers to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Before you buy
The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, with grease between the two parts to prevent metal-on-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing gears this series toward track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
In the HM version, the engine bay strut bar must be removed.
