Ver descripción y características

The ZR Series brings 3-way damping to a price point previously only reached by much more expensive competition suspensions. Each phase is adjusted independently: 20 clicks of low-speed compression, 12 of high-speed, and 30 of rebound. Ride height is also adjusted independently of piston travel and spring preload. Inside, a digressive piston and a double piston work together, one housed in the shock absorber and the other in the reservoir.

Complete kit for all four wheels of the BMW M3 F80 / M4 F82 RWD (14-20), 3-bolt top mount, 16/12 kg/mm. It comes in an integrated rear configuration: at the back, the spring and shock absorber form a single unit instead of being separate as in the stock equipment, which allows the rear ride height to be adjusted directly on the shock absorber. It weighs 24 kg. Manufacturer part number I-132-ZR.

It features in the front and in the rear. The front axle allows for camber adjustment. Ride height is adjusted independently of spring preload, and the conical bottom collar prevents the setting from shifting with use. Includes dust boots to protect the seals and a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Supplied with a single spring rate, 16/12 kg/mm.

Before you buy

Before installation, the chassis must be reinforced in the area of the rear mounts. The integrated assembly introduces loads that the original setup distributed differently, and BC Racing makes the validity of the kit conditional upon this work being done. This is a job for a specialized workshop and should be included in the estimate.

The shock absorber is a cartridge housed inside a threaded body, and a grease is applied between both parts to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It must be cleaned and reapplied periodically to avoid noise; this is simple maintenance that does not require opening or repressurizing the shock absorber. For this reason, BC Racing directs this series toward track use and recommends BR, DS, ER, or ZX for a daily-driven car.
