CTS Turbo atmospheric blow-off valve kit for BMW with N20 four-cylinder engine, from 2011 onwards: 125i, 220i, 225i, 228i, 320i, 328i, 520i and 528i (F10, F20, F30 and F31). It is an atmospheric blow-off valve: when you lift off the throttle, it vents air to the atmosphere instead of recirculating it into the intake, producing the characteristic blow-off sound.
It is machined from 6061 aluminum with a black anodized finish and features a piston design, so it can be disassembled and maintained. It replaces the original plastic valve, which is prone to failure due to diaphragm tears, cracks, or electrical issues. There is no need to remove the turbo; installation takes between one and two hours.
The original valve wiring connector must be modified to plug into the solenoid valve. If your car has an electric wastegate, you will also need a boost tap.
