Set of six CTS Turbo I-beam connecting rods, 164mm center-to-center with a 20mm wrist pin for VR6 engines, such as the 3.2 24V in the Golf R32 and the 2.8. The I-beam design handles compression loads very well and offers good torsional rigidity.
All CTS connecting rods feature a rifle-drilled oil passage along the beam for improved wrist pin lubrication, are honed in-house, and are measured individually on a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The set is weight-matched to a tolerance of +/- 1 gram and comes with 3/8" ARP 2000 bolts.
Installation by a specialized workshop. Changing connecting rods requires opening the engine; we recommend that this be done by a workshop with experience in tuned engines.
