The IRP No. 3 hydraulic handbrake is operated by pulling backwards and features an inverted mounting, with the master cylinder positioned in front of the lever. This configuration slightly changes the hand position and how it is placed on the tunnel, so it is advisable to check which arrangement is most comfortable in your car.
It features an adjustable lever stop that eliminates travel slack, resulting in a firm feel and preventing the master cylinder from over-stroking. The base is powder-coated steel, and the lever is CNC-machined anodized aluminum. The 0.625" Wilwood master cylinder has the outlet in the center and a port at the end to connect a reservoir if you wish to install one. Installation requires integrating it into the rear hydraulic circuit and bleeding it correctly; no subsequent adjustments are needed, but an improper bleed will leave the lever feeling spongy.
