Adjustable tie rod kit for BMW E30, E36, E36 M3, Z3, Z3M, E46, E46 M3, Z4 and Z4M

Main features:

  • AW-7075 aluminum tie rod extensions, ultralight and angled at the ends, allowing for greater suspension travel.

  • 3-piece JMX tie rod ends, motorsport-specific and fully replaceable.

  • 3-position adjustable bump steer geometry, to optimize steering response:

    • ±5 mm in the MRT-20006-1 kit (for stock chassis and strut setups).

    • 20 ±5 mm in the MRT-20006-1W kit (for setups with significantly increased caster, such as E30 with E36 spindles).

  • 50% weight reduction compared to stock cast steel tie rods.

  • All new hardware is included, with machined castle nuts and cotter pins in critical areas.

  • Attention: consult the wheel fitment chart and verify compatibility with your wheel and knuckle combination.

  • Requirement to use:

    • E36-type inner tie rod ends on all E30 applications (*).

    • E90-type inner tie rod ends (longer) on all E46 applications (**).

  • Includes all hardware necessary for installation and, as always, MRT Engineering decals.

Why do you need this kit?

When you modify caster and/or camber settings, the bump steer geometry is affected, which can lead to imprecise, twitchy, or unstable steering. This kit allows you to correct and precisely adjust the steering geometry, achieving a direct, stable, and predictable response for both street and track use.

* Requires E36-type inner tie rod ends.
** Requires E90-type inner tie rod ends (longer).

  • CNC machined aluminum parts with AW-7075 (aerospace grade) alloy and hard black anodizing.

  • Mounting hardware made of high-strength CrMo tool steel.
