Installing these adapters alone increases the steering angle. However, to operate at full capacity beyond a 60° lock angle on your E36, additional modifications are recommended and can be selected above:

Installation of extended lower control arms (ideally 6 cm longer), or E46 lower control arms.
E46 tie rods and tie rod ends to compensate for the lengthened control arms (in the case of very long control arms, opt for X3 or E9X 3 Series tie rods, which are even longer).
To prevent the wheels from rubbing against the control arms at full lock, mount 17" diameter front wheels, 7.5" or 8" wide, with an offset (ET) close to 30-35.
205/40, 205/45, 215/40 or 215/45 front tire sizes are recommended.
To cope with the extended lower control arms, we recommend moving the top of the shock absorber outward and slightly forward with 3D adjustable top mounts.
Reinforce the control arm bushings, either with high-hardness polyurethane bushings with caster offset to expand the adjustment range, or with solid spherical bearings.
Please note that these adapters only fit standard E36 hubs (they are not suitable for M3 hubs).
Important information: This kit requires the installation of BMW E46 tie rod ends. Indeed, the diameter of the OEM E36 ball joint taper is too small and prevents correct installation.

Recommended “Drift” alignment settings
Below you will find some alignment values, tested and approved by us and our customers, known to give good results in drifting and offer optimal vehicle control. Of course, this guide remains generic: it offers basic guidelines, which must be adapted based on your vehicle and its modifications, its weight and power, your driving style, the type of tires, the track or weather conditions, etc. It is not specific to BMW, and can be used as a reference on many other cars such as Nissan 200SX, Skyline, Mazda MX-5, RX-8, Toyota Supra …

Front axle :

Toe-in : 10 to 30
Caster : 4 to 6°
Camber : -3 to -1.5°
Spring and shock absorber rating : stiffer
Rear axle :

Toe-in : 10 to 20?
Zero camber, or even slightly positive for high power (so that the wheels run “flat” and maximize traction when the car squats under heavy acceleration)
Spring and shock absorber rating : softer
