CTS Turbo BOSS turbo kit for 1.8 and 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 engines in non-MQB vehicles (CPLA and CPPA engines). BOSS stands for Bolt-On Speed Solution: a large turbo that mounts in the stock position, without the need for custom fabrication. It features a 67mm dual ceramic ball-bearing turbo, a stainless steel exhaust housing with stock wastegate geometry, and a 3-inch compressor housing. According to the manufacturer, it produces over 400 hp with the stock fuel system.
It mounts in the factory location reusing the stock wastegate actuator, and includes oil and coolant lines. It is compatible with 3-inch intakes and downpipes, as well as stock-position turbo outlet pipes.
Hardware compatibility: Jetta Mk6 1.8 and 2.0 TSI Gen3, Beetle Mk2 Gen3, and Passat B7 Gen3. Also requires a 3-inch intake and downpipe, Direct Fit intercooler, and charge pipes. DSG models also require Stage 2 transmission software.
Installation and software. This is a serious modification: installation should be performed by a shop experienced in performance tuning, and the vehicle requires custom ECU calibration for this turbo. CTS turbos come with a 6-month manufacturer warranty against manufacturing defects.
