Vitour Tempesta P1 tire in size 235/40R17, a road-legal semi-slick designed for track sessions, track days, and sports driving. The Tempesta P1 has almost no tread pattern, resulting in a very large contact patch and very high dry grip.
Its wear rating is TW200, more durable than a pure racing compound and significantly grippier than a street tire. The sidewalls are reinforced, which is noticeable in the steering response.
Data for this size according to Vitour: load and speed index 94Y XL, recommended rim width 8.5J, overall diameter 620 mm, maximum load of 670 kg per tire, and maximum pressure of 340 kPa (50 psi). The tread has a depth of 5.6 mm.
Like all semi-slicks, it needs temperature to provide its best grip; it performs worse than a street tire in cold and wet conditions.
