With this IRP bolt-on short shifter for the Nissan 370Z/Z34/Z/RZ34 with self-centering, the shifter travel between gears is significantly reduced, resulting in faster and more precise shifts.
The body is made of CNC-machined and anodized aluminum, with stainless steel hardware. It connects to the original linkage, so the gear pattern remains the same as stock. It features adjustable screw stops that prevent selecting the wrong gear, such as accidentally skipping to the wrong one when downshifting.
In the V3 version, reverse gear is unlocked using the integrated button on the lever itself, and the lever is taller than stock, so your hand travels a shorter distance from the steering wheel. This version includes self-centering: an integrated spring returns the lever to its center position and keeps it stable between shifts. It is installed by bolting it on, with no welding or body modifications required.
Competition part. It is normal for the transmission to be louder than with the stock shifter. With firm engine and transmission mounts, or at least ones in good condition, the feel is greatly improved.
