The IRP short shifter for the Toyota GT86/GR86, Scion FR-S, and Subaru BRZ significantly shortens the gear lever throw, ensuring each gear engages faster with a crisp, precise feel.
The body is made of CNC-machined and anodized aluminum with stainless steel hardware. It connects to the original linkage, so the factory gear pattern is maintained. Gear stops are adjustable via screws, preventing mistakes like mis-shifting during rapid downshifts.
In the V3 version, the reverse gear is unlocked using the button integrated into the lever itself, and the lever is taller than stock, meaning your hand travels less distance from the steering wheel. In the GT86, GR86, FR-S, and BRZ, the throw is reduced by approximately 60% compared to stock, and installation requires a small, hidden trim to the center console. It is supplied with the anti-vibration kit that IRP added to eliminate noise.
Competition part. It is normal for the transmission to be more audible than with the stock lever. With firm engine and gearbox mounts, or at least ones in good condition, the feel improves significantly.
