With this IRP short shifter for the Mazda MX-5 NC / Fiat 124 Abarth with a 6-speed gearbox, the lever travel distance between gears is significantly reduced, and gear changes become faster and more precise.
It is CNC machined from aluminum with stainless steel parts, and it retains the H-pattern and the original gearbox linkage. It features adjustable screw stops that prevent you from engaging the wrong gear, such as accidentally shifting into the wrong gear when downshifting.
Competition use. It transmits more gearbox noise than the original lever, and for the best possible feel, it is recommended to have the engine and gearbox mounts in good condition, or replace them with firmer ones.
